Hex Workshop hangs during installation

If you are experiencing problems installing Hex Workshop, please try following the steps below before contacting support:

  1. Make sure the installer is not running. This can be accomplished by killing the hw32v422.exe process. If you are unfamiliar with stopping processes, you can restart your computer.

  2. Verify that you are installing Hex Workshop under an account with administrative permissions.

  3. Clear out your Windows temporary directories before re-running the installer. To find your temp directories, please start a windows command prompt and type the command "set". After pressing enter, look for the variables "TEMP" and "TMP". Clean all files and directories from both of those directories.

If the install process continues to hang, please try re-downloading Hex Workshop. If you continue to have problems, contact support.
